Be Prepared: Environment Canada Issues Freezing Rain Warning for Tay Township

Environment Canada has issued a Freezing Rain Warning for Tay Township, including the potential for a prolonged period of freezing rain. Tay Township is reminding all residents to be prepared.

Safety Reminders:

  • Take extra care when walking or driving. Surfaces may become icy and slippery.
  • Postpone non-essential travel until conditions improve.
  • Create an emergency plan and prepare an emergency kit with essentials such as:
    • Drinking water
    • Non-perishable food
    • Medications
    • First-aid supplies
    • Flashlight and batteries
