Reporting to the Manager of Engineering Services, or their designate, the Engineering Technologist is a hands-on position that works with the Operations/Engineering team for Capital Projects, Asset Management, Geographic Information System (GIS), Civil design and Development Engineering services throughout the Township. This position will provide technical and analytical assistance to the Manager of Engineering Services, the General Manager, Operational Services and the Township, as required. This position provides technical expertise and information on Township standards, policies and procedures, and completes compliance and subdivision development reviews and administration adhering to good engineering practices. Hands-on capital project design, administration and inspection for projects across all departments are a significant component of the position. This position is a public liaison and provides consultation for technical, legal, project financial, and survey assistance and direction to support Staff and the public as required.
