Full-Time, Permanent Position

Reporting to the Municipal Clerk, the Legislative Coordinator is responsible for providing proficient, administrative support to the Municipal Clerk and the Clerk’s Department responsibilities such as but not limited to accessibility plans and policies, municipal cemetery services, statutory notices, commissioning documents, municipal elections, and lottery, marriage, and refreshment vehicle licencing. This position is also primarily responsible for monitoring and providing support for municipal records under the records management program of the Township including retention, destruction, and implementation and sustainable continuity of the records management system.

Qualifications

  • Completion of post-secondary education from an accredited educational institution, or equivalent training and/or experience, in Public Administration, Business Administration, Office Administration, Political Science, Law, or another relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related, progressive work experience providing senior-level support, preferably in a municipal government setting.
  • Experience in records information management working with Laserfiche, or other records information management software.
  • Completion of the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario (AMCTO) Municipal Administration Program (MAP), or willingness to complete.

The compensation range for this full-time, permanent position is $31.74 to $37.13 per hour with a 35-hour work week. We also offer a comprehensive pension and benefit package (conditions may apply).
