Learn About the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election at Meet the Fleet

Tay Township Election Officials will be attending the upcoming Meet the Fleet event Saturday May 23, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to provide information and resources related to the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election. 

Whether you are wondering how to vote, looking to confirm you are on the voters list, or interested in running for Council, staff will be available to answer questions and help residents navigate the election process. 

The 2026 Tay Township Municipal and School Board Election will allow voters to cast their ballot from anywhere with internet access or telephone service. Voter Assistance Centres will also be available to support eligible voters. 

Voting opens at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, and closes at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026 (Election Day).

Meet the Fleet Event Details 

Tay Township invites family, friends and the community to experience the exciting world of Public Works in an up-close and interactive way during Meet the Fleet in celebration of National Public Works Week. 

When: Saturday, May 23, 2026 
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 
Where: Veteran’s Lane, Victoria Harbour 

The free community event will feature a tentative showcase of Operational Services vehicles and equipment, including loaders, graders, backhoes, plow trucks, fire trucks, ambulances, police vehicles and more. 

Attendees will also have the opportunity to “Sign A Plow” for a chance to win a new youth bike, while the Royal Canadian Legion Victoria Harbour Branch 523 hosts a community BBQ. 

Please note, this event may include loud noises and flashing lights due to the nature of the equipment and demonstrations. Individuals with sensitivities are encouraged to take appropriate precautions.
