NOTICE of By-law to Dissolve Ward Boundaries

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Tay passed By-law 2021-35 on the 23rd day of June, 2021 pursuant to Section 222 of the Municipal Act, 2001.

AND TAKE NOTICE that By-law 2021-35 provides for dissolution of Wards and the implementation of an ‘At-Large System of Electoral Representation’.

AND TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to Subsection 222(4) of the Municipal Act, 2001, any person or agency may appeal within 45 days of the passing of the by-law to the Ontario Land Tribunal in respect of the by-law by filing with the Clerk of The Corporation of the Township of Tay a notice of appeal setting out the objections to the by-law and the reasons in support of the objections. This notice of appeal must be accompanied by a certified cheque or money order in the amount of $1,100.00 made payable to the Minister of Finance.

Any notice of appeal must be filed with the Clerk’s Office of the Township of Tay, at the address below, not later than 4:30 p.m. on the 9th day of August, 2021.
