Service Disruption: Emergency Repair Ellen Street Sanitary Pump Station, Victoria Harbour

An emergency repair is underway at the Ellen Street sanitary pump station following a pipe failure in the wet well.

Crews from the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) and contractors are on-site and actively working to assess the situation and implement repairs. This work will continue until the issue is resolved. At this time, there is no estimated completion date.

The pump station is located on Ellen Street between Hoyt Avenue and Wycliffe Cove in Victoria Harbour. Although there are no road closures, heavy equipment is operating in the area, and residents are asked to use caution.

Sanitary sewer services are impacted, however OCWA has deployed septage haulers to manage the system while repairs are completed.

As a precaution, residents in the affected area (Ellen Street between Hoyt Avenue and Wycliffe Cove in Victoria Harbour) are being asked to limit non-essential water use, including laundry, dishwashing, showers, and flushing to help reduce strain on the system.

If you have any questions, please contact the Ontario Clean Water Agency at 1-866-775-7712 during regular business hours. For after hour emergency service for water and wastewater please call 705-526-5762.
