Tay Canada Day Celebrations June 24 & 25

After a 2-year COVID 19 hiatus, we are happy to announce that on June 24 and 25 2022 Tay Township will be celebrating Canada’s 155th Birthday!

In addition, Tay Township will be celebrating its 200th Anniversary. Whereas, in 1822, Tay Township was named after a pet dog of Lady Sarah Maitland (1792-1873), wife of Sir Peregrine Maitland, Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada.

The generous and unwavering support of Corporate and Local Sponsors is what has made the event so special, to the point that it has grown into one of the most favourite celebrations to attend in the area. It is not only a family affair, overflowing with events for all ages, but also encompasses 2 adult evenings filled with camaraderie, song and dance. Each year, the volunteer group pull out all stops and organize two days of non-stop entertainment and this year is no exception.

On Friday, a fantastic Beatles/Beach Boys and American Graffiti Tribute Band will have everyone dancing and singing to all the old hits. On Saturday evening, after a full afternoon of local entertainment, The Dynamic & #1 rated AC/DC Tribute Band, "21 Gun Salute" from Montreal will rock the venue.
