Tay Shore Trail Winter Maintenance

With Winter upon us maintenance of the Tay Shore Trail, with the exception of three sections, has come to an end for the season. Township staff have installed winter barrier gates along the Trail to help prevent motorized vehicle use during the winter months, to protect the trail.

With the continuation of the global pandemic, Council has once again directed staff to maintain a section of the Tay Shore Trail throughout the winter in each of the three shoreline communities that the trail passes through. The sections of the trail that will be maintained are:

Waubaushene: Pine St. to Coldwater Rd.

Victoria Harbour: Bass Bay Dr. to Caswell Rd.

Port McNicoll: First Ave Trail - Davidson St. to Arpin St.

Maintenance on the entire Tay Shore Trail will resume in the Spring of 2022.

Tay Township is committed to delivering responsive and cost-effective municipal services and infrastructure that provide for the long-term economic, social and environmental well-being of its residents and community.
