Tay Township and Thomson Terminals 2022 Toy Delivery

Tay, Ontario: Since 2014 Friends of Keewatin Volunteers, with the support of Tay Township, have been the people behind the distribution of thousands of toys provided by The Canadian Toy Association and Thomson Terminals, to North Simcoe agencies supporting families with children in need.

This year the following local agencies were supported; Boys and Girls Clubs, Georgian Bay Native Friendship Centre, Salvation Army, Family Connexions, Beausoleil First Nation, the Lions Clubs of Port McNicoll and Coldwater, Society of St. Vincent de Paul – St. Ann’s, We are the Villagers, Huronia Transition Homes – la Maison Rosewood Shelter, Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation, Midland YMCA, the Ukrainian Welcoming Committees of Barrie and North Simcoe, the 3-School Christmas Wish List, and Port McNicoll Legion.

A special thank you to all volunteers who helped organize the toys and their delivery, as well as the Delbrook Group, who graciously provided the former Port McNicoll Public School as the distribution centre for the gift drop off and pick up for the approximately 4,000 toys.
