In addition to the new public washrooms and water bottle filling station, Albert Street Park features a public beach, multi-use trail, picnic tables, and a gazebo. The gazebo was recently featured by simcoe.com as one of five places to have a picnic in the region. “Located right on the waterfront of Victoria Harbour, this quaint gazebo is the perfect spot to take a break while biking the Tay Shore Trail. If you forget to pack something in your picnic bag, there is a Foodland conveniently located right next door,” writes Ariel Harker. Patterson Park and Waubaushene Dock are also listed as top spots to have a picnic.

The new facility at Albert Street Park will allow park, boat launch, and Tay Shore Trail users to take a washroom break or fill their water bottle. The amenities are also available to residents and visitors who attend nearby events, including Music in the Park, Southern Georgian Bay Farmers Markets’ Harbour Market, and Battle of Georgian Bay—all happening this month.
