Tay Township Hires Andrea Fay as new Chief Administrative Officer/Deputy Clerk

Tay Ontario: Tay Township is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Chief Administrative Officer/Deputy Clerk. Andrea Fay, a progressive senior manager with over nineteen years of experience at three lower tier municipalities including time spent at the County of Simcoe will be joining the Township as its new CAO/Deputy Clerk.

“Council is excited about this result,” said Mayor Ted Walker. “Ms. Fay brings with her a breadth of knowledge and experience, her storied career in municipal government and her result-oriented leadership will be an asset to Tay Township, we are excited to have her lead our Administration.”

Ms. Fay most recently held the positions of Deputy Clerk for the County of Simcoe, Director of Legislative Services & Clerk for the Town of Wasaga Beach, and Director of Corporate Services/Clerk/Deputy CAO for the Town of Midland. Ms. Fay is also no stranger to Tay Township having served as Deputy Clerk from 2002-2006 and Clerk from 2006-2008.

“I’ve always looked back on my time at Tay fondly” said Ms. Fay “I’m looking forward to reconnecting with those I know and getting to know the rest of the team, including leading and working closely with Council and the community.”

We look forward to having Ms. Fay lead the Tay Team into the future, she will begin work with the Township on Monday July 11, 2022.
