Tay Township provides condolence book for the community to honour the life and service of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II

Tay, Ontario: Tay Township is welcoming the community to share in extending messages of condolence to honour the life and service of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

A book of condolences has been set up in the lobby of the Municipal Office, 450 Park Street in Victoria Harbour and is available to sign during regular office hours Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Alternatively, the Government of Canada has invited all Canadians to sign and view an online book of condolences, available at: https://www.canada.ca/en/canadian-heritage/commemoration-her-majesty-the-queen/book.html

Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II died September 8, 2022. She most recently celebrated her Platinum Jubilee, marking her impressive seven decades on the throne. Her Majesty’s commitment to public service and dignified leadership was an example to us all, she leaves behind a legacy that will long be remembered.

In her honour flags throughout the Township have been lowered to half-mast. The book of condolences will be available until Friday September 23, 2022 for the community to sign, and will then be sent to Buckingham Palace.
