Tay Township to host 4th Annual Wye Marsh Fundraising Dinner

Tay, Ontario: Tay Township is pleased to host the 4th Annual Tay Township Wye Marsh Fundraising Dinner on Friday, May 3 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Oakwood Community Centre (290 Park Street, Victoria Harbour).

Last year’s fundraising dinner raised over $10,000—helping Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre continue to be a centre of excellence for wetlands research, interpretation and education based on the principle of stewardship and the importance of environmental awareness.

“Tay Township is committed to helping conserve our natural heritage and resources,” said Mayor Ted Walker. “We’re pleased to continue to host the annual fundraising dinner in support of the organization and its activities.”

Supported by Enbridge Gas Distribution, Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution, and Tay Township, the event will feature live music by Dylan Lock. The buffet dinner—prepared by ELM Catering—will include salad, choice of lasagna, chicken, garlic bread and buns, fruit, dessert, and coffee and tea at a cost of $20 per person. Tickets for children 12 and under are $5.

Tickets are available online at wyemarsh.com or in person at Wye Marsh (16160 Highway 12 East), Tay Township (450 Park Street, Victoria Harbour), and Tay Library (all branches). For more information, visit tay.ca/events or contact Tay Township at 705-534-7248.
