Thank You for Making Meet the Fleet 2026 a Success
Tay Township Operational Services would like to extend sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the third annual Meet the Fleet event, held on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026.
This community event gave residents a hands-on opportunity to explore the vehicles and equipment used by our front-line teams and partners, while celebrating the essential services that help keep our Township safe and well-supported.
We would like to thank the following external partners for helping make the day truly memorable:
- NT Power, for showcasing their impressive bucket truck.
- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), for attending with their cruiser and ATV units and providing residents with a unique opportunity to explore them up close.
- Tay Township Fire Department volunteers, whose fire truck, marine rescue boat, equipment demonstrations and community engagement created an inspiring experience for attendees.
- Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA), for bringing their valve trailer and providing an informative look into water system operations, an important and often unseen part of our community’s daily life.
We would also like to recognize #TeamTay, including:
- Tay Township Municipal Law Enforcement Officers for assisting residents with Boat Launch Parking Permits and dog tag licensing.
- Tay Township Election Officials, for hosting a Municipal Election information booth, answering questions and helping residents navigate the election process.
- Tay Township Operational Services staff, for showcasing their equipment and organizing another outstanding event.
A special thank you to the Victoria Harbour Legion for hosting a wonderful BBQ.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this another memorable and educational experience for our community. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
