OCWA advises that all water used for consumption be heated to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute prior to use (store in a clean covered container). Unless it has been boiled first or is commercially bottled, water should not be used for drinking, baby formula, juice, ice, washing fruit and vegetables or brushing your teeth. Please note: Home filtration devices are not a substitute for boiling water.

If any discoloured water is observed after the work, run a cold water tap (preferably a laundry or bath tub tap with no screens/aerators) until the water runs clear (approximately 3 to 5 minutes). Before doing laundry, it is recommended that the water is flushed beforehand.
