The Tay Township warming centre remains open at the Municipal Office (450 Park St., Victoria Harbour). The warming centre will remain open until power is restored. Pets are welcome. Please bring your own portable containers for coffee and tea, as well as charging cables for devices.
If you require transportation to the warming centre, please call 2-1-1 to register for a ride.
We encourage all residents to be good #TeamTay members by checking in on your neighbours, especially those who may need extra assistance during this time.
Due to ongoing clean-up efforts, residents are strongly advised to stay off all roads unless absolutely necessary. For a full list of closed roads visit tay.ca/news
Waste Collection
Simcoe County waste collection will continue where possible. If areas are missed due to
debris or ongoing road closures, residents are to leave material curbside and we will
attempt to collect those locations during the week up to and including Friday, April 4, 2025. A reminder that all food and organic waste (packaging removed) can go in the organic green cart.
NT Power crews are on-site and working to restore power. We will share updates as they become available. For more information on the power outage visit the NT Power outage Map here - Outage Map | NT Power.
