Watermain Valve Exercising and Fire Hydrant Flow Testing
Municipal water users are advised that crews are scheduled to perform watermain valve exercising and fire hydrant flow testing on:
Monday April 11 to Thursday April 14 between 8:00 a.m and 4:00 p.m.
for the areas of Victoria Harbour, Port McNicoll and Waubaushene.
As a result of this work, you may experience a change in pressure and/or some discolouration, sediment in the water, or perhaps even no water for short periods of time.
Water use during the scheduled flushing periods should be kept to a minimum to avoid discoloration from entering your home or business. During these times, it is advisable to check the water prior to doing laundry.
Should you experience discoloured water, run your cold water for 10-15 minutes to clear the service line. If the water does not clear after this time, turn off the tap and wait 30 minutes and repeat the process.
