216 Albert Street (Old Victoria Harbour Fire Hall) to be sold

Council approved the recommendation by staff to sell the building at 216 Albert Street, known as the old Victoria Harbour Fire Hall. Council calls on all levels of government to help manage invasive Phragmites

Council passed a resolution drafted in partnership with Georgian Bay Forever in support of requesting all levels of government to aid in managing invasive Phragmites. The Georgian Bay area is particularly affected by Phragmites, threatening valuable infrastructure and wetland areas. A copy of the resolution will be sent to the Ontario Minister of Environment and Climate Change Canada, as well as the Severn Sound Environmental Association, partner Municipalities, the Minister of Transportation and Local MP and MPP.
