Additional Dwelling Units Survey

Tay Township is in the process of gathering information for the potential of permitting Additional Dwelling Units (ADUs) to be located outside of the main dwelling unit. (ex. An in-law suite built and located in the backyard of your home).

The current Township policies allow for ADUs to be located in residential and agricultural zones provided that the ADU is contained within or attached to the main dwelling unit.

We want to hear from you! Please fill out the survey to help guide direction for Additional Dwelling Units and if they should be permitted outside of the main dwelling unit.

The survey is open to all residents, stakeholders and community members. You can also pick up a hard copy of the survey in the vestibule of our municipal office at 450 Park Street, Victoria Harbour during regular business hours Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The survey will close on August 9, 2022.
