Notice of Intent to Remove a Holding Symbol (60 Maple Street)

The Corporation of the Township of Tay will consider a By-law to remove a Holding (H) Symbol not earlier than 7:00 p.m. on February 27, 2019 in the Council Chamber located at the Township of Tay Municipal Office at 450 Park Street in Victoria Harbour.

The Township of Tay intends to remove the Holding (H) Symbol from the lands zoned Institutional Exception 3 Holding “I*3(H)”, pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, amended.

The subject lands are legally described as Parts 2, 5 & 6, Part of Lot 14, Concession 7, Reference Plan 51R-41673. The subject lands are zoned Institutional Exception 3 Holding “I*3(H)”.

A key map showing the location of the lands proposed to have the Holding (H) Symbol removed is attached to the news item at tay.ca/news.

The purpose and effect of the proposed By-law is to remove the Holding (H) Symbol from the subject lands in order to permit the construction of a 41-unit independent retirement home in compliance with the Building Code and in conformity with the Zoning By-law.

Any person may attend the Council meeting; however, as this is not a public meeting per the Planning Act, no public comments will be received. 

Additional information regarding the request for removal of the Holding (H) Symbol will be available for inspection between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays at the Township of Tay Municipal Office.
