Tay Community Rink will remain open for Private Group Bookings of 10 people starting December 26th

The Tay Community Rink will remain open for Private Group Bookings of 10 people starting December 26th.

Tay Township recognizes the importance of keeping this facility open for not only physical health but mental health as well and is working within the guidelines of the Province of Ontario and Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit to be able to accomplish this task.

The unique attributes of the facility, including the NHL sized ice surface, allows for ample room to physical distance.  The outdoor facility allows for ample ventilation and staff will continue to be at the rink to monitor and enforce safety protocols including contact tracing measures and sanitization.

Those looking to book ice time should visit tay.ca/rinks and review in detail the specific rules in place for the rink during this time.

Staff are also working to introduce Public Skating, this is expected to commence with the re-opening of Elementary Schools which is currently slated for January 11 2021.
