Tay Township lowers flags following death of Paul Ferguson former Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution President and CEO

Tay Ontario: Tay Township has lowered its flags to honour the passing of former Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution President and CEO.

On behalf of Mayor Walker, Council, Staff and all Tay Residents we extend our condolences to the entire Ferguson family.

Paul began his tenure with Newmarket Hydro as the Director of Engineering back in October of 1989 when it was still known as the Newmarket Hydro Electric Commission. Shortly thereafter he transitioned to the role of President until his retirement from Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution in February 2020. 

Flags throughout the Township have been lowered in tribute to Paul’s service to the Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution organization and the communities he served.

Tay Township is committed to delivering responsive and cost-effective municipal services and infrastructure that provide for the long-term economic, social and environmental well-being of its residents and community.
