Tay Township lowers flags to honour the life of Barret Smith

The flags at the Tay Township Municipal Office and Fire Halls have been lowered to honour the life and service of Barret Smith, a dedicated volunteer firefighter who served our community.

Barret had been a volunteer firefighter with Tay Fire and Emergency Services since November 16, 1999. He was a First Class firefighter at Station 4 Port McNicoll. At the  2019 Tay Christmas party he received his 20 year service award. Barret's selflessness and dedication to the safety of our community will never be forgotten.
