Tay, Ontario: At the May 23rd Regular Council meeting, Mayor Scott Warnock presented a cheque in the amount of $10,565 to Jim MacMillan, Vice President of the Wye Marsh Board of Directors and Mary Ann Milne, Executive Director of Wye Marsh.

The funds were raised at the 3rd Annual Tay Township Fundraising Dinner in support of Wye Marsh on May 11th at Oakwood Community Centre. The event featured live music by Adrien Robitaille, dinner prepared by ELM Catering, and a visit from some of Wye Marsh’s feathered friends.

“Tay Township is committed to helping conserve our natural heritage and resources,” said Mayor Scott Warnock. The donation will help the organization continue to be a centre of excellence for wetlands research, interpretation and education based on the principle of stewardship and the importance of environmental awareness.

Tay Township recognizes and thanks community volunteers and supporters, including platinum supporters Enbridge Gas Distribution and Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution.
