The watermain repair work on Talbot Street is complete, water service has been restored and the road is now open. 

If you experience discoloured water, run your cold water for 10–15 minutes to clear the service line. If the water does not clear after this time, turn off the tap, wait 30 minutes, and repeat the process.

Watermain Break and Road Closure, Talbot Street, Port McNicoll between Second and Third Avenue, July 8, 2025

A watermain break has occurred on Talbot Street in Port McNicoll between Second and Third Avenue today July, 8, 2025. Crews from Tay Township, in partnership with the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA), have been dispatched and are actively responding to the situation. 

As a result, Talbot Street is temporarily closed between Second and Third Avenue. Please follow posted detour signs and use alternate routes where possible. 

Properties in the immediate area may experience temporary water service disruptions, while crews carry out the repair.
