Seniors Advisory Committee

The Seniors Advisory Committee is Actively Recruiting for Committee Members!

As a Committee of Council, the Tay Seniors Advisory Committee (TSAC) shall act as a liaison to enrich and enhance the lives of seniors in the Township, identify barriers, form partnerships with the community, and act as a public forum for issues affecting seniors.

Tay Township is taking steps to become a more age-friendly community, where all residents can be active and engaged members of the community at every stage of life.

The Ontario Government has a new interactive website Ontario.ca/seniors. This website makes it easier for seniors to find the information they need to connect to services and resources.

Seniors can now easily find out how to connect to services like Health811, renew a driver’s license, and find tax credits. Seniors can also find other community resources including local senior organizations that offer social, cultural and recreational programs.

The fastest-growing demographic is seniors. The number of seniors aged 65 and over is projected to increase significantly, from 2.8 million 2022, to 4.4 million by 2046.
