Tay Community Rink Summer Floor Rentals
Private rentals are available daily for $35/hr starting mid-May and ending Thanksgiving Weekend.
To book your floor time please call our recreation team at 705-534-7248 x230 or email recreation@tay.ca.
You can also visit us at our Municipal Office during regular business hours Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Private Ice Rentals
Tay Community Rink, located at 573 Talbot Street in Port McNicoll, is an NHL-sized refrigerated outdoor rink with a covered ice surface.
The countdown to rink season is on! Tay Community Rink Rentals open November 2, with ice scheduled to be ready for November 9, weather dependent. We look forward to seeing our community back on the ice this season.
BOOK YOUR PRIVATE ICE RENTAL HERE (available mid-November to mid-March)

- Private rentals are available daily for $120 + HST per hour from November 9 to March 22.
Please Note: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours before the rental start time. To avoid disappointment, please book early to secure your preferred date and time.

Outdoor Natural Ice Surfaces
Tay Township's outdoor natural ice surfaces are unsupervised and use is at your own risk. Each location includes picnic tables for putting skates on and taking them off, as well as an onsite portable toilet.

- Bridgeview Park Rink (4 Fallowfield Lane, Waubaushene) - CLOSED
- Oakwood Park Rink (290 Park Street, Victoria Harbour) - CLOSED
- Waverley Park Rink (1049 Truax Lane, Waverley) - CLOSED
Important Information
- Outdoor natural ice surfaces are weather dependent and operate during the winter season when conditions permit.
- Users are asked to respect the posted schedule and follow designated skating and shinny hockey times.
- The rinks remain open to the public outside of scheduled skating and shinny time slots.
- These facilities are unsupervised. Use at your own risk.
Public Skating Rules
For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, please observe the following rules:
- CSA-approved helmets are recommended for all skaters.
- Skates must be worn on the ice at all times. Individuals without skates are not permitted on the ice surface.
- Chairs, sleds, strollers, and other obstructions are not allowed on the ice.
- Food and beverages are not permitted on the ice surface.
- Games and horseplay, including tag and racing, are prohibited.
- Do not carry children on your shoulders or in your arms while skating.
- Hockey sticks are not permitted during public skating sessions.
- Throwing snow or ice is prohibited.
- Follow all directions from rink staff.
- Report any accidents or injuries to rink staff immediately.
- Hockey equipment is not permitted during public skating sessions.
- Power skating and figure skating are not permitted during public skating sessions.
- The center of the ice surface is reserved for children and less confident skaters.
- Skate at a safe speed and in the same direction as other skaters.

Assumption of Risk
By using the ice surface, skaters and spectators acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with skating activities, including but not limited to:
- Injuries resulting from collisions or contact with other individuals on the ice surface.
- Injuries resulting from slips, trips, falls, or other skating-related incidents.
Participants use the facility at their own risk and are responsible for exercising caution at all times.
