Cemeteries
Tay Township owns and operates three active cemeteries:
- Victoria Harbour Union Cemetery located at 21 Jephson Street in Victoria Harbour
- Waverley United Church Cemetery located at 17039 County Rd. 27 in Waverley
- Waubaushene Protestant Cemetery located at 13691 Highway 12 in Waubaushene

Tay Township maintains the following inactive cemeteries:

- 2257 Reeves Road

Tay Township accepts the following payment options at the Municipal Office located at 450 Park Street, Victoria Harbour during regular office hours:
- Cash
- Cheque (made payable to Tay Township)
- Debit Card
- Money Order
Online
Tay Township now offers online payments, accepting VISA and MasterCard, for residents who have initiated the cemetery sale/service with the Clerk's Department. In order for a payment to be processed for cemetery related expenses, please contact clerk@tay.ca or 705-534-7248 ext. 240 for more information.
Important Information Regarding Online Payment Option:
- A service fee will be applied by Paymentus Corporation, our trusted payment service provider, when the transaction is processed.
- 2.5% of the transaction amount for VISA and MasterCard
- 1.5% of the transaction amount for VISA Debit or MasterCard
- Payments made through the online system will be posted to your account within 2-3 business days, ensuring timely processing and accurate account updates.
- Cemetery related expenses cannot be processed online until you have initiated a sale with the Township and have a Contract #.
Township owned and operated Cemeteries are open from April 1 to December 1 of each year, weather permitting. Winter maintenance is not conducted at the Cemeteries.

Cemetery Winter Closure is in Effect December 1 – April 1
The Township of Tay’s Cemeteries, Victoria Harbour Union Cemetery, Waubaushene Protestant Cemetery and Waverley United Church Cemetery, will close for the winter on Monday, December 1, 2025.
With the winter closure in effect from December 1 – April 1, no interments or monument installations will be permitted, and roads/paths will not be maintained.
The Cemeteries will re-open on April 1, 2026, weather permitting. Residents can still contact the Clerk’s Department for general cemetery inquiries by emailing clerk@tay.ca or by calling 705-534-7248 x257 or x240.
